A nationwide People's Linguistic Survey of India to obtain a snapshot of living languages in contemporary India.

Establishment of the Adivasi Academy, as the single largest resource, cultural centre and laboratory for innovations in the areas of tribal education and development.

National campaign for the social justice and human rights of Denotified and Nomadic Communities.

Magsaysay Award, Padma Vibhushan, Padmashri, Jnanapith, Sahitya Akademi Awards, Prince Claus Award, SAARC Writer's Foundation Award, Maharashtra Foundation Award and Nalanda Award, Elle Foundation Award, Harmony Silver Award, Linguapax Award, Udyogini Award, Pearson Teaching Award and CII Foundation Woman Exemplar Award, National Human Rights Commission First Prize for Best Autobiography.
